Hi All,

Manhattan Toy is generously donating an Automoblox Pick-up truck to one lucky person. You can check it out the truck and all the other fun products at http://www.manhattantoy.com/. To enter the contest, leave a comment on the blog about something you do that makes you feel special by June 1st, 2009. It is that simple!

"The I'm Sorry Truck" was originally inspired by a drawing made by Daddy and son for Momma after a particularly bad day filled with poor choices. Check out the drawing below.

What did you say? A word of the day!
That is right! In our story there are many juicy
words that are fun to learn and say!

anxious: eager
recycle: to treat or process (used or waste materials) so as to make suitable for reuse
stunned: to astonish; astound

JUST ADD IMAGINATION!

Try these activities to keep your imagination glowing after hearing the story.

1. Write down some other ways to make people feel special besides saying "I love you". For example: cleaning your room without being asked or helping your little brother or sister with their homework. Try to do some of the things on your list over the next week.

2. Draw a picture of a dump trucked filled with letter or numbers.

3. Make a list of all the ways you can re-use, reduce and recycle in your home. For ideas, check out these great resources: RECYCLE!

COMPREHENSION CHALLENGE

After listening to the story, can you recall the details to answer these questions?

1. Why does Tucker think he is not special in the beginning of the story?

2. List three other trucks mentioned in the story and what they do to make people happy.

  1. Try something new. You must go for some digger derrick trucks if you are in construction business.
